Sous Chef

Position Summary: Sous Chef will assist the Executive Chef and will be responsible for daily kitchen duties related to lunch and dinner service, and Sunday brunch, as well as assisting with banquets/ events when needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees daily prep lists, service standards, and Standard Operating Procedures of the kitchen operations.
  • Hold staff accountable for maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen.
  • Assist with new hires and ongoing training of kitchen staff.
  • Communicate the appropriate numbers of kitchen staff for each shift.
  • Participates in employee evaluations and necessary disciplinary actions.
  • Assist in developing menus based on customer preferences and food cost needs.
  • Place food orders as needed.
  • Should be able to assist kitchen and FOH staff with questions regarding menu items and Cedar Ridge systems & procedures.
  • Ensures that all standards of safety are strictly observed.
  • Maintains kitchen equipment.
  • Must be able to lift at least 25lbs regularly.
  • Assists in banquets/events when necessary.
  • Ensures that all Cedar Ridge Standard Operating Procedures are strictly observed.
  • Monitors the quality of menu items.
  • Evaluates guest satisfaction.
  • Looks for ways to save the facility money while still providing top-quality products and services for guests.

Required Hours: 40-50 weekly

Compensation: $13-$16/hour plus tips

Office Coordinator

Position Summary: This position is responsible for supporting a wide variety of main office functions across several departments. The office coordinator helps with several administrative tasks concerning shipping & logistics, operations, marketing, and accounting.

Primary Objectives and Key Result Areas:

This position will be successfully fulfilling requirements when:

  • Demonstrating outstanding communication and organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Shipping documents are completed accurately and timely to enable on-time shipping
  • Customers and visitors calling in or visiting the office feel welcomed and informed
  • Production’s forms and KPIs are complete and accurate so the information can be counted on to make appropriate business decisions
  • Point of sale materials, merchandise, and office supplies are on-hand for sale and use as needed

Ongoing Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Customer support including phone, email, and social media
  • Package and ship eCommerce products & samples
  • Manage and create documents including invoices, packing slips, and export paperwork
  • Assist production by updating records, KPIs, and other forms
  • Setup dock times for shipments to control states
  • Support new product launches including UPC/SCC creation and NABCA/COLA submissions
  • Maintain merchandise, point of sale materials, and office supply inventory
  • Organize eCommerce by managing and updating the website and preparing journal entries for revenue recognition
  • Help with month-end tasks including JEs, inventory, and tax reports
  • Other duties as assigned

The primary responsibilities in this role are ensuring the safe delivery and merchandising of all Cedar Ridge products. Cedar Ridge will provide a vehicle with proper insurance coverage to be used for the purpose of traveling to and from accounts.

In order to be successful in this role you will:

  • Restock and merchandise our wine & spirit brands. This means ensuring proper campaign signage, schematic placement, and accurate pricing are up at all times for ALL wine & spirit Cedar Ridge products as needed at every stop on your route.
  • Providing good communication between your manager and a retail account.
  • Delivering wine to accounts on a schedule and communicating with them in a timely manner.
  • Basic math is necessary to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
  • Potential to lead into Full-Time Sales role.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical demands with activity or condition existing a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (i.e., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or calculator
  • Physical demands with activity or condition existing an occasional to rare amount of time including walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • Ability to frequently lift or move 40 to 50-pound cartons and stand for extended periods of time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.
  • Follow safety guidelines when operating the company motor vehicle.

Full-time or part-time cook position would involve daily prepping and cooking of wood-fired pizzas, charcuterie boards, other shareable dishes, and also assists in the execution of private events as needed. 20-40 hours per week available. Position reports to Sous Chef and Executive Chef on daily operations and events. *Earn tips and gratuity on events in addition to base pay. A more extensive benefits package is available for full-time employees.
